4th Planet of RS 8409-1353-7-1372850-76, at the outskirts of the Orion Nebula. The planet is a cold gas giant with 5.4 Jupiter masses, diameter 153,000 km. The planet rotates once every 8 hours and 44 minutes. It orbits the parent star every 2.6 years at a distance of about 2 AU. The planet is encircled with a ring system of a distinctly purple colour. There are three major rings.
The atmosphere of the planet is broken up into broad cloud bands of different colours. Because of the lack of visible storms or major turbulence features, it is presumed that wind speeds are quite high. The axis of the planet is tilted by 70 degrees to its ecliptic, meaning the planet is subject to massive changes in climate depending on its orbital position around its star. The planet was surveyed near the height of summer in the northern hemisphere. It is possible that increased storm activity occurs during the equinoxes (ie, spring/autumn)
The planet has 60 moons. The two large moons (4.10 and 4.11) both harbour unicellular life.
Moon 4.10, with about half an Earth mass, is unusual in that it has its own large ring system. Moon 4.11 is slightly more massive and possesses a very dense atmosphere of nitrogen and oxygen. Like their parent planet, the moons are subject to massive seasonal weather variations.
